Cynthia Coleman
MSW, Supervisee in Social Work
I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults who have experienced trauma, family and relational scars, grief and loss, and substance abuse.Â
My approach is strengths-based and person-centered informed by a systems framework that explores the individuals' environment, community, and systems of oppression. I draw from several trauma-informed approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy, recreational therapy, and expressive approaches.Â
I believe therapy is a collaborative process and we will explore your expectations for an understanding of therapy together and form goals collaboratively. Through our work, we will explore strengths, and areas of concern, and gain insight into past experiences and relationships. I believe in empowering individuals to find the path toward success while reminding them that no matter what their battle may be, victory can be theirs!Â
