ANTAYSIA C. NANCE

LICENSED CLINICAL SOCIAL WORKER 

"I have always had a passion to support children and their families."
 

Antaysia works with children, adolescents, young adults, adults, and families going through life traumas, stress, and transitions that has caused depression, anxiety, suicidal ideations, self injurious behaviors, and other mental health struggles. Antaysia can support you to find healthy coping tools and provide a safe space to process through these difficulties.

Antaysia uses talk therapy, cognitive behavior therapy, mindfulness training, self care training, creative therapy, psycho education, and positive psychology to help individuals achieve their goals towards wellness.

 

Antaysia also offers mental health evaluations to assist clients to access services and resources for court, disability services, medication, housing, and education services.

Antaysia earned her Bachelor's in Social Work from the University of South Florida and her Master's degree in Social Work from Howard University. Antaysia is Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Board certified Clinical Supervisor.

"I have always had a passion to support teens and young adults ages 14-24 years old  who are facing hardship. Establishing my own business, Youth Life Services, gives me the opportunity to not only to focus on one-one-one support but to impact the community."

VICTORIA SULYANS

Victoria has been providing mental health services for adolescents, teenagers, and adults with various mental health needs for over 15 years. She has supported individuals from early childhood to the end of life. Victoria is the therapist that can assist you with any life challenges you are facing.

Victoria enjoys working with a variety of populations using collaboration, mindfulness training, creative therapy, cognitive behavior therapy, talk therapy, and a client-centered approach. Victoria will tailor your counseling services to fit your needs.

 

Victoria earned her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and her Master's degree in Social Work from the University of South Carolina. Victoria is a Certified School Social Worker with the Virginia Department of Education, and a Supervisee in Social Work working toward her License in Clinical Social Work.

 

“I have a special interest working with adolescents who are experiencing mental health illness.  I welcome you to reach out to me regardless of background, lifestyle, or reasons for seeking therapy. My focus is to provide effective counseling services with compassion. I truly believe together; we can find that path forward.”

LINDA PITNEY

MSW-STUDENT INTERN, MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELOR

Linda works with children, adolescents, young adults, and adults in various stages of their life journey. Linda can help you identify your strengths and the barriers that may be keeping you from reaching your goals and leading your best life.

Linda is trained and certified in the evidence-based Wellcoaches model of health and well-being coaching. Using a holistic approach, Linda uses motivational and appreciative inquiry techniques to assist individuals in identifying thoughts and behaviors that interfere with one’s ability to make healthy and relevant lifestyle choices. This method uses small, sustainable goals that build upon each other to facilitate person-centered change. Linda is also trained in the EMPath Mobility Mentoring® approach to goal achievement and self-sufficiency, and she is a Virginia Career Coach.

Linda earned an Associate in Criminal Justice from Berkshire Community College, a Bachelor’s in Journalism and Sociology with a Concentration in Social Inequality and Diversity from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, and is currently finishing her Masters of Social Work degree at Virginia Commonwealth University. Linda has completed 40 hours of training in advocacy for survivors of domestic violence, has assisted families experiencing various socio-economic challenges, and has case management experience.

Linda’s interest is focused on trauma-informed care, increasing protective factors, and using a strength-based approach to build self-efficacy. Linda utilizes various self-soothing techniques such as diaphragmatic/deep breathing, mindfulness, and meditation to promote calm, manage stress, and increase one's ability to focus on what’s important to you.

CYNTHIA CROSS

MSW, STUDENT INTERN, MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELOR

Cynthia works with children, adolescents, and families utilizing her vast experience as an elementary school teacher and a case manager for children with brain injuries and their families.

 

Cynthia has supported students facing school challenges and anxieties, children and adolescents overcoming depression, anxiety, and grief, and families with children facing complex medical diagnoses.

 

Cynthia uses a client-centered strengths-based approach focusing on talk therapy, mindfulness, and cognitive behavior therapy to help you discover your strengths and achieve your goals.

 

Cynthia earned her Bachelor’s in Elementary Education from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and is currently finishing her Master’s degree in Social Work at Virginia Commonwealth University. Cynthia is also a Certified Brain Injury Specialist and has experience working with families impacted by brain injuries and various other health challenges.

TORRIA L JENKINS

LMSW, SUPERVISEE IN SOCIAL WORK

"I want to provide a safe environment for people to recover, confront, and deal with challenges." 
 

Torria has worked in human services as a case manager, interacting with persons in group homes and homeless shelters.

 

Torria has also worked with teenagers and adults who are suffering from depression, anxiety, suicide ideation, adjustment disorder, and other mental health issues.

 

Torria employs cognitive behavior therapy, psychotherapy, and psychoeducation to assist individuals in overcoming obstacles and achieving their goals.

 

Torria is an army veteran who received her Bachelor of Social Work from George Mason University in 2019 and her Master of Social Work from Walden University in 2021. Torria is a Licensed Master's Social Worker and a Social Work Supervisee with aspirations to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

 

Torria is enthusiastic about providing a safe place to help individuals address challenges, achieve goals, and improve their lives.

SHAIA HUBBARD

MSW, SUPERVISEE IN SOCIAL WORK

“There is a mental health crisis that was exacerbated by the coronavirus pandemic. I have encountered many families that have been impacted by mental illness, and I want to collaborate with them to manage their mental health so they can lead healthy and productive lives."
 

Shaia has provided mental health services to individuals, adolescents, and adults for almost twenty years, beginning at a local community services board and transitioning to a disability service agency, where she worked for over a decade. 

 

Shaia has supported individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, persons with brain and spinal cord injuries, and rendered intensive in-home services. 

 

Shaia enjoys working with a variety of populations but has a passion for working with youth. She uses Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Solutions-Focused Brief Therapy, mindfulness training and talk therapy to assist in processing challenging situations.

She also likes to implement aromatherapy to create a calm and relaxing environment.

 

Shaia earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work from Norfolk State University and a Master’s in Public Administration from Old Dominion University. She has been endorsed as a School Social Worker through the Virginia Department of Education and as a Supervisee in Social Work pursuing her Licensure in Clinical Social Work.
